This Privacy Policy explains how Guangzhou Bensinuo Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“ResorAI”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use ResorAI, our Local-first research intelligence workspace and account services available at https://www.resorai.com.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, and authentication identifiers, provided when you sign up (handled by our authentication provider, Clerk).
• AI request content — only the text, selected PDF pages, Evidence, and structured research context you explicitly submit from Desktop for a requested AI task. Your full local Library and original PDF files are not uploaded by default.
• Billing data — when you subscribe, payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We receive your plan, subscription status, and billing period; we never receive or store your full card details.
• Service metadata — authorized device information and AI request status, model, token usage, cost, latency, and request hashes used for security, billing, and reliable operation. These records do not contain your full PDF text or Evidence snippets.

2. Data kept on your device

Desktop stores your PDFs, Library, Projects, notes, full-text index, Research Cards, Evidence, matrices, GAPs, and models in local files and SQLite on your computer. ResorAI does not receive this local workspace merely because you import or organize a paper. Local backups remain on your device unless you choose to move or share them.

3. How we use your information

We use your data to provide and maintain the service, generate AI outputs, process payments and manage subscriptions, communicate with you about your account, ensure security, comply with legal obligations, and improve our product.

4. AI processing

When you request an AI feature, the selected content is sent through our cloud gateway to the model provider needed to produce that result. We do not sell your research content or use it to train third-party models. Review the selection shown by Desktop before sending sensitive or confidential research material.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers who help us operate ResorAI — including Paddle (payments), Clerk (authentication), our cloud hosting and database providers, and analytics/error-monitoring tools — each bound to protect your data. We may also disclose data where required by law.

6. Data retention and deletion

Account, billing, security, and usage metadata is retained while your account is active and as needed for contractual, fraud-prevention, tax, or other legal obligations. AI request content is not stored in the idempotency or usage ledger. You may request deletion of your account and eligible cloud data at any time. Deleting cloud data does not delete local Desktop files; you control and remove those files on your own device.

7. Legacy cloud data

If you used an earlier Web research workflow, legacy Projects or cloud PDFs may remain available through a read-only migration path. We will provide export and deletion notices before retiring that storage; these legacy records are not used for new Desktop Libraries.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@resorai.com.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is transferred, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection.

11. Children

ResorAI is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
